Auchan says restricts sales of some staple food in Moscow, Crimea

MOSCOW/SIMFEROPOL, Mar 5 (PRIME) -- Grocery Auchan limited sales of preserves, vegetable oil, grain and sugar per visitor in Moscow and the sales of grain, sugar and oil in Crimea on Saturday.

“Dear customers! We refill our shelves every day, this is why you will always find all necessary goods,” a note in an outlet said.

“Please, purchase no more than 5 cans, 5 liters of vegetable oil and 5 items of the grains, flour, pasta, 10 kilograms of granulated sugar per visit.”

The company earlier said that the sales of socially-important goods would be limited due to high demand from corporate clients. Auchan denied any problems goods stocks.

The company also limited the markups on the key food items at 5%.
